OUR Areas of Service
Castine Cavs Sports Team
- Sports Offered: Volleyball and Basketball for 6-12th grade student athletes.
- Volunteer Team: Assists with home and away game logistics.
- Prayer Team: Prays for the Cavs Sports Ministry.
- Coaching Requirements: Coaches must be 21+ years old and pass a background check.
Castine Kids Elementary Team
- Target Group: Children in Preschool through 6th grade.
- Activities: Bible teaching, worship, prayer, and games to develop a passion for God.
- Volunteer Requirements: Age 18+, must pass a background check.
Castine Kids Nursery Team
- Target Group: Children from birth through preschool.
- Purpose: Provide a safe, clean environment for children to explore while their parents learn and grow.
- Volunteer Requirements: Age 18 +, must pass a background check.
Castine Youth Team
- Target Group: 7th grade through seniors in high school.
- Purpose: Help students connect to God and other believers through events and activities.
- Regular Gatherings: Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.
- Volunteer Requirements: Age 18+, must pass a background check.
Connection Team
- Greet and welcome folks
- Serve in our coffee station
- Introduce guests to other members
- Be able to share information about church offerings
- Help get people connected and engaged
- Serve at events inside and outside the church
Decor Team
- Help with setup and tear down for Easter and Christmas
- Help maintain landscape (weeding, flowers in pots)
- Floral design for events
- Assist with funeral meal set up
Facilities Team
- Purpose: Assist with basic maintenance tasks and light repairs.
- Volunteer Requirements: Completion of training process.
Worship Team
- Volunteer Roles
- Bass guitarist, acoustic guitarist, electric guitarist, pianist, drummer
- Vocalist
- Volunteer Requirements: Music audition
Tech Team
- Volunteer Roles
- Graphics operator: run slides for Sunday service
- Livestream operator: run livestream service using cameras and streaming equipment
- Camera operator: run camera during Sunday service for online viewers in coordination with livestream operator
- Audio Technician: run sound and basic house lighting for Sunday service and Thursday worship team practices
- Volunteer Requirements: Completion of training process
