Castine is going back to Skyview Ranch!
As summer approaches, many of us are planning what to do with the kids when school lets out. At the Costa house we are putting a high priority on summer camp. Castine’s NextGen ministry is also prioritizing camp as we continue to partner with Skyview Ranch. The programming is Christ centered and intended to grow our kids in Christ, so Castine continues to support the program to make it accessible financially. With these two things in mind, I would invite you to seriously consider signing your kids, grandkids and even invite the neighbor kids to go.
So, what does Skyview have to offer, and what does Castine do to help families go? First off Skyview Ranch is more than just a great Camp Facility with beautiful views of the Appalachian Hills, and great amenities like zip lines, horses, a pool, and a pond. It is also a place with a mission to strengthen the church by proclaiming Jesus to its visitors and helping them take the next steps of faith in their church communities. We have had dozens of our youngest members make next-step decisions for Christ at Skyview. Everything from deciding to follow Jesus for the first time, to starting a daily devotional life, and deciding to get baptized.
That is why Castine’s NextGen ministry has made such a financial commitment to helping students go. When families put down the first $100 for camp, Castine immediately commits to the next $100, and we try to do even more (when kids attend specialty camps like scuba families are responsible for the surcharge). Once we know who is going to what week of camp, we then use the rest of our camping budget to pay for more of camp. Six of the past seven years we have been able to pay everything above that first $100. If money is the issue keeping you from going to camp, please let us know. We have the resources to help you get there. We believe in camp that much!
If you want to join us for one of this summer’s highlights, register and put down your $100 deposit at https://www.skyviewranch.org/summer-camp. Then send us the confirmation email and we will get ahold of you about matching the deposit and what carpooling opportunities might exist.
