Castine Outreach News February 2022

Due to Covid restrictions and possible quarantine our Jamaica mission team postpone their trip to later in the fall of 2022. At this time anyone interested in possibly joining the team this fall, contact Deb Dynes at 937-423-1085.
February Mission Highlight:
Our Highlight Ministry for February is Stephanie Benedict with Revive. Stephanie has served with Revive with a servant’s heart for those in need. Stephanie and husband Daryl and family are regular attendees at Castine Church. Stephanie is also the assistant athletic director for our Castine athletic programs. She gives one hundred percent to Revive and our Athletic programs. If you wish to know more about these ministries, she serves you can pick up one of her prayer cards on the outreach wall or contact her personally at church or a Castine ballgame.
Ways to Serve:
Check out the Outreach wall, many of the missions and missionaries Castine Church supports need prayer, and some local ministries need volunteers. Take a moment to check out their contact information, let them know you are interested in praying for their needs or volunteer with one of the local ministries.
Our local BDM (Brethren Disaster Ministries) continues to have opportunities to serve throughout the year. Sewing Bee/CWS Preps, BDM Trips, Disaster Cleanup Bucket kits. Openings for BDM trip are still available for teams on the following dates: March 13-19, April 10-16, May 15-21 and more for the balance of the year. Notice:
We will continue to monitor the needs of those affected by the tornadoes in Tennessee and Kentucky.
At this time, they are overwhelmed with supplies and asking for no more supplies to be sent. Recovery will for those affected will take many months and possibly years so teams should look at long term rebuilding needs. We will monitor BDM and other organizations for future needs and mission teams to help recovery in Kentucky and Tennessee.
