Lead Your Family in a Messianic Seder
Once a year, the Jewish people dedicate a week to memorializing the events of the book of Exodus, learning the messages, and deepening their faith in God. The Seder or Passover meal is a central component of this time. However, what can we, as Christians, learn from the Passover meal? Can this be part of our family discipleship leading into Easter? Just as Jesus celebrated the Passover meal with his disciples at the Lord's Supper, we too can celebrate at our homes to deepen our family's faith. Plus, it's a great way to prepare your family's hearts for Easter.
We are setting up a program similar to our Advent boxes from this past Christmas. We want to equip you to have a Messianic Seder meal in your home during this Passover. We will give you a list of everything you need and a script to use with your family. This script will include the traditional portions of the Seder meal and help you see how Jesus is reflected in the same elements. Additionally, we will be providing a sample Seder meal in video form to help you know how the Seder meal can be served. We'll also offer some optional traditional Seder meal dishes to accompany the Haggadah (the "script" for dinner).
Signup is straightforward; you only need to sign up here or stop by the connection center and let them know you want to participate. We'll send you all the materials before Passover (the Seder meal is traditionally done on April 5th this year). We hope that you will use this tool as a way to encourage discipleship in your family.
