Helping Children Learn About Jesus

Tara is representing the Miami Valley for Lifewise Academy, bringing Bible-based education to students in our local schools during the school day. This program allows students to leave the school each week for Bible education if the program is privately funded, off school property, and have parental permission. The percentage rate of participation is high in the schools Lifewise Academy are operating. As Tara is leading the way in our area schools, she needs volunteers in your school district to help bring your school system on board with this program to reach children for Christ. As we at Castine commit to grow Godly children, Lifewise academy is a great step for our community. Operation Christmas Child is in full swing. Tamala Marley leading the Christmas Shoebox for Children needs your help to fill as many shoeboxes as you can this Christmas season. These gifts are sometimes the first and only gifts many of these children will ever get. Please help Tamala make this the most successful Shoe Box Campaign from Castine to the world.

Since Castine has left the Church of the Brethren, Castine Outreach still supports and seeks volunteers to support the local (BDM) Brethren Disaster Ministries. As this local group continues to help those in need from devastations from hurricanes, tornados, floods, and other disasters we applaud those who continue to volunteer. Many who serve are Christ Followers and have no affiliation with the Church of the Brethren. The local BDM Board would like to thank all who volunteered this past year with the Ice Ceram Social, Pork Festival Parking, Sewing Bee Volunteers, School Kit volunteers, Emergency Clean Up Bucket volunteers, and especially team volunteers who gave a precious week to help those in need. We look forward to another successful year is reaching those in need.
